NEW DELHI, AUGUST 1: Chandigarh University, Gharuan has signed an MoU with Cambridge Assessment English and Learning Wings Education Services, Jalandhar. The MoU provides the students of Chandigarh University access to internationally recognised Cambridge English Qualifications. It also aims to enhance the professional skills of English language teachers.
Learning Wings Education Services, Jalandhar intends to use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to provide a clear set of objectives for students, supported by Cambridge Assessment English tests as a benchmark for English language skills. The CEFR is used worldwide as a standard for describing and measuring levels of language skills.
Liam Vint, Deputy Director of Cambridge Assessment English’s global network, said, “We are delighted that Chandigarh University, Gharuan and Learning Wings Education have taken this important step to improve the level of students’ English by offering them internationally recognised qualifications which will enhance their confidence and employability”.
Also when it comes to qualifications and training programmes for students and faculty, Chandigarh University will be able to use Cambridge’s ground-breaking Linguaskill tests to help them measure the language skills of applicants and students, quickly and efficiently. Linguaskill uses advanced Artificial Intelligence to provide fast, accurate results covering all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing.
