Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2025: Rs 25 lakh bond mandatory for government MBBS seats; merit list on August 6

The Chhattisgarh Directorate of Medical Education (CGDME) will publish the first merit list on August 6 for NEET UG MBBS, BDS state-level counselling 2025. Online applications will be invited for admission to MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical colleges in the state after the Chhattisgarh MBBS merit list 2025 is uploaded on the counselling website, cgdme.admissions.nic.in.

The undergraduate medical seats will be under various quotas such as government, management, and NRI quota. If the government quota seats remain vacant after the second round of the Chhattisgarh NEET UG counselling, it will be converted to management quota seats. Moreover, the reserved category seats of NRI quota of private medical colleges will be first allotted to the candidates who are domicile of the State after conversion.

While filling the application form for the Chhattisgarh NEET UG counselling, candidates belonging to general and OBC category will have to pay Rs 1,000 and SC, ST will have to pay Rs 500. Those eligible for NRI quota will have to deposit Rs 10,000 as counselling registration fee.

The registration process will be made available at every round of counselling and fresh merit list will also be issued at each round. The directorate mandates taking admission in government medical colleges, however, it is not compulsory to take admission in private medical or government dental colleges.

Chhattisgarh MBBS bond policy

It is compulsory for students admitted to MBBS courses in government medical colleges to work as a medical officer in government health centres of government medical colleges as junior resident, registrar, or demonstrator for a period of one year. However, this is not mandatory for those pursuing BDS or other medical courses.

In this regard, candidates will have to deposit a bond amount at the time of admission. Unreserved category candidates will have to pay Rs 25 lakh and those belonging to reserved category will have to deposit Rs 20 lakh bond amount.

Such students will be awarded a provisional graduation degree upon completion of the course. The Chhattisgarh government medical education department will issue appointment orders to such graduate doctors within a period of six months.

The degree completion certificate will only be issued to those candidates who complete the one-year service. In special circumstances, an exemption in bond amount will be given to a candidate who was deemed medically fit but becomes medically unfit during the course.

Students will have to pay the penalty bond for leaving the seat in the middle of the course or deciding to leave the seat after the last date of admission in third round of counselling.
