Chhattisgarh PET, PPT and PMCA exam cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic

NEW DELHI: Chhattisgarh government has cancelled all the entrance exams of the state which are conducted for admission to professional degree courses, due to covid-19 situation. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of students.

As per the notification issued by department of technical education, govt of Chhattisgarh, pre-engineering test (PET), pre-polytechnic test (PPT), pre-MCA test (PMCA) and pre-pharmacy test (PPHT) has been cancelled for the academic session 2020-21.

The government has also released guidelines for the admission process for all the courses.

Revised admission process
As per the revised admission process, selection of candidates to B.Tech/B.E. courses belonging to Chhattisgarh will be on the basis of merit of marks in class 12 while candidates belonging to other states need to have JEE Main score for admission.

Candidates of Chhattisgarh seeking admission in MCA will be offered seats on the basis of marks in qualifying exam (BCA) while other states candidates need to have a valid score in NIMCET exam.

Admission through online counselling
The complete admission process will be online. The allotment of seats will be through online counselling, schedule for which will be released in due course of time by the govt.
