NEW DELHI, JANUARY 3: National Law University Odisha, Cuttack (NLUO) will be announcing the official notification of CLAT 2019 soon enough as application form will be available on January 10, 2019. The CLAT 2019 Convenor, Dr Srikrishnadeva Rao told Careers360 that the CLAT registration process will begin in a week's time. “The online registration for CLAT 2019 will begin from January 10, 2019, i.e., seven days from now,” confirmed the CLAT 2019 Convenor.

CLAT 2019 is scheduled to be held offline on May 12, 2019.

Candidates who are interested to appear in Common Law Admission Test need to fill the CLAT 2019 application form in online mode, for which they will have to shell out Rs. 4000, The application fee of CLAT 2019 can be paid using the online payment options– Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. Those who are to apply under Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories will have to shell out Rs. 500 less.

The candidates also need to read CLAT eligibility criteria before registering for the Common Law Admission Test. According to conditions, the candidates will have to qualify 12th board examination under the 10+2 school system, securing at least 45 per cent marks in aggregate of the subjects. Those belonging to the SC and ST categories are given a 5 per cent relaxation in the minimum aggregate percentage of marks.

About CLAT 2019

CLAT will be an offline paper of two hours, where candidates will need to answer 200 objective-type questions having multiple-choice answer options. Each question carries one mark. The 200 questions will be based on a number of subject-matters – English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. According to the marking scheme, the candidates will be awarded one marks for correct answer and for every incorrect response 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score.
