New Delhi: The Consortium of NLUs has released the INVITE lists of eligible candidates for the UG and PG programmes who can REGISTER for CLAT counselling 2020, at around 9 am today. Only such candidates whose names are mentioned in the invite lists can register for counselling, or else they can’t participate in CLAT counselling, which is being conducted in ONLINE mode.

The consortium is sending invitations to around FIVE times around five times the number of seats available in each category.

Registration process for CLAT is open from October 6 (9 am) till October 7 (6 pm).

How to Register for CLAT counselling 2020

  1. Check your names in the INVITE LIST: If your name is mentioned in any of the lists (UG or PG programme), you are eligible to register for online CLAT counselling.

  2. Login to CLAT account to REGISTER for counselling.

Registration process has to be completed in TWO steps.

  1. Update NLU preferences - Here the candidate will have to update already entered choices or enter a FRESH set of preferences.

  2. Payment of the counselling fee amount of Rs. 50,000

CLAT Seat Allotment Process

The allotment of seats will be based on the NLU preference entered at the time of counselling registration and CLAT merit rank.

Once an allotment has been made, the candidate will have three options to choose from:

  1. Accept the allotted seat

  2. Apply for upgrade, or

  3. Exit the admission process

To accept the seat or apply for an upgrade, the candidate must upload all relevant documents and pay a fee to the NLU, which has been allotted to the candidate.

The NLU fee is equivalent to the first semester fee after deducting (or adjusting) the counselling amount of Rs. 50,000.

Result of FIRST seat allotment to be announced on October 9

The consortium will release a total of THREE seat allotment lists. The second allotment list will be published on October 11, while the THIRD and FINAL allotment list will be published on October 14.

CLAT 2020 result declared on October 5

The consortium declared the CLAT result 2020 in the form of consolidated All India merit lists and individual score cards.

The consolidated merit lists for the UG and PG programme can be downloaded from the consortium website without any login. But to download INDIVIDUAL score cards, one needs to login to the candidate portal.
