NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities has today released another series of exam-day instructions for candidates appearing in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam tomorrow, July 23, 2021. The CLAT 2021 exam day instructions include general guidelines for appearing in the exam and related to COVID-19 protocols.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic devices including mobile phones. However, analog wristwatches are allowed.
The staff at the CLAT exam centre will not be responsible for any loss of property/gadgets of the candidates.
Candidates will have to put his/her signature on the admit card, question paper booklet and the OMR response sheet.
Check that all the pages and questions in the question booklet are intact before the commencement of the exam. In case of any discrepancy, ask the invigilator for another set of question booklet and OMR response sheet.
Answer questions in the OMR sheet by fully darkening the circles. Partly darkened circles will not be considered for evaluation.
To darken the circles, use only a black or blue ballpoint pen.
Ensure you don’t crample or disfigure the answer sheet before submitting it to the invigilator after the completion of the test.
OMR sheets will be carbonized, so candidates can detach the carbon copy of the OMR response sheet and carry them home after the exam. This sheet will be useful while checking the answer key of CLAT 2021.
A second blank OMR sheet will not be given except in exceptional circumstances. The same will be approved by the invigilator.
Carrying the OMR sheet outside the examination hall will lead to the disqualification of the candidate and it will be treated as an offence.
Any kind of rough work has to be strictly done at the space given at the end of the CLAT question booklet.
No additional sheet will be given for rough work.
A negative marking of 0.25 will be applied for each incorrect answer
The candidate must arrive at the exam centre as per the reporting time to locate their seating place; they may consult the Seating Plan that will be displayed at the centre.
The security staff at the centre will check the temperature of each candidate with Thermal Guns. Any candidate whose temperature exceeds 99.14° F will be seated in a separate room and will not be allowed to leave the room until other candidates have left the exam premises.
Any candidate who has tested COVID-19 positive recently and is under medical surveillance or in isolation, he or she will not be allowed to take the CLAT 2021 exam.
The candidate needs to keep wearing a face mask at all times, carry hand sanitisers, and take all safety precautions. Do take care not to spill the sanitiser on the OMR sheet or question booklet.
