Candidates who have been allocated seats will have the options to freeze, float, or withdraw their seats from the further rounds of counselling.
If a candidate is content with the seat assigned to them and does not desire to engage in additional rounds of counselling, they can decide to freeze their seat. By selecting this option, the candidate confirms their seat at the designated National Law University (NLU) and will not be considered for subsequent rounds of CLAT 2024 counselling.
If a candidate is dissatisfied with the seat assigned to them and desires to engage in more rounds of CLAT counselling 2024, they have the option to float. This option allows a candidate to consent to the seat that has been allocated to them while also indicating their readiness to participate in more rounds of CLAT 2024 counselling in order to obtain a better seat. If a candidate chooses to float and is then assigned a seat in a future round, the seat allocated in the prior round is removed.
If a candidate wishes to withdraw from the counselling process at any time during the procedure, they may do so. By selecting the exit option, the candidate withdraws from the CLAT 2024 counselling process and their name will no longer be considered for subsequent rounds of counselling.
