CMAT 2021 to be held on March 31; Check changes introduced this year

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the CMAT 2021 exam date and release of CMAT admit card date on its official website - cmat.nta.nic.in. As per the revised schedule, CMAT 2021 will be conducted on March 31 in two shifts. The admit card of the CMAT exam will be released on March 24, 2021, at 10 AM, in online mode. Candidates can download the CMAT 2021 admit cards by entering their application number and password.

This year, the NTA has introduced a number of changes in the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), including an increase in the number of examination centres in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and introducing an additional section in the exam. Earlier, the NTA issued a notice which stated that the CMAT 2021 was scheduled to take place on February 22 and 27 which has now been rescheduled to March 31, 2021.

• CMAT 2021 will be held in two shifts on March 31, 2021, as opposed to CMAT 2020 which was conducted in a single shift.

• CMAT 2021 application fee for male candidates has been increased from Rs 1,600 to Rs 2,000.

• The CMAT application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD male candidates has been increased from Rs 800 to Rs 1,000.

• Application fee for reserved category (SC/ ST/ PwD) female candidates and transgender has been increased from Rs 700 to Rs 1,000.

• The NTA has increased the total number of CMAT examination centres from 104 to 153.

• All educational programmes under the UPSEE Entrance Examination conducted by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will now be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2021. However, in the 2021 academic year, AKTU will consider the CMAT scorecard for admission to the MBA programme.

• There has been a change in the CMAT 2021 exam pattern. An optional section has been added for candidates interested in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

CMAT 2021: COVID-19 advisory

Along with the CMAT 2021 admit card, candidates are required to download the self-declaration (Undertaking) form from the NTA website. On the day of the examination, candidates are required to fill it up and hand it over to the exam invigilator.

Candidates can carry a simple transparent ballpoint pen, personal hand sanitizer, extra passport size recent photograph, face mask, and transparent water bottle on the day of the CMAT exam.
