NEW DELHI: CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT), Bengaluru has been accredited with an A++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Institute received a CGPA of 3.71 out of 4 in the 2nd cycle of accreditation for a period of 5 years.

The NAAC peer team visited the CMR campus in Bengaluru on October 17 and 18, 2022 for assessing the quality parameters in the accreditation process. The Institute submitted a self-study report in April 2022 and the quantitative variables were assessed through data validation and verification processes.

CMRIT was assessed on seven criteria that are- curriculum; teaching learning and evaluation; research, innovation and extension; infrastructure and learning resources; student support and progression; governance, leadership and management; and institutional values, practices that uphold core values of NAAC.

Attributing this merited achievement to the dedicated leadership team, staff, students, alumni, and other contributors, CMRIT principal, Sanjay Jain, said: “The vision of the college propels the faculty and staff to deliver value-based education that transforms students to become competent professionals who are motivated to lead and serve the society and nation. It is a proud achievement for the college and indeed a great day for us.”

As per the revised accreditation framework by NAAC in July 2017, If an institution scores 3.51 to 4.00 institutional cumulative grade point average (CGPA) on assessment, it is accredited with an A++ grade, and if it ranges between 3.26 to 3.50, it gets an A+ grade.

In recent news, CMRIT Bengaluru's software team took the first place at the Smart India Hackathon 2022 by developing a website and mobile application for predicting crops for a particular season.
