COMEDK 2024 exam date announced for engineering; to be held on May 12

NEW DELHI: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will be conducting the COMEDK Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET – 2024) on May 12. The registration date and eligibility details will be uploaded soon on the official website, comedk.org, the official statement said.

The COMEDK schedule was altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, COMEDK has been mandated by the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) comprising more than 150 engineering colleges to hold the exam on the second Sunday of May.

“A detailed calendar of events and the information Brochure along with eligibility criteria in this behalf would be hosted on the website (www.comedk.org) in due Course,” it said.

The consortium also cautioned aspiring candidates and their parents against sharing personal details to third parties like agencies and educational consultants for registration.

As per the eligibility criteria, general candidates who have passed with Class 12 or second PUC with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks and reserved category with 40% SC, ST and OBC candidates in physics, chemistry and mathematics along with chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, electronics as one of the optional subjects are eligible. Those applicants with a diploma will not be considered eligible for the COMEDK exam 2024.

COMEDK exam pattern 2024

The computer-based exam will be held for a duration of three hours. The COMEDK question paper will have three sections - physics, chemistry and mathematics - carrying 180 questions. Each question will carry one mark each and there will be no negative marking.

COMEDK mock test will also be conducted through the official website, comedk.org, before the exam date to familiarize students with the exam pattern.
