COMEDK UGET 2024 registration begins tomorrow for engineering entrance exam; eligibility

NEW DELHI: Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK 2024) registration will begin tomorrow on February 1 on the official website, comedk.org. As per the schedule, Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET 2024) for engineering courses will be held on May 12, 2024.

The consortium will conduct a single common entrance test followed by centralized counselling for admission into 150 colleges. The participating institutes will offer 70 engineering courses for a total of 20,000 seats.

The last date to submit the COMEDK 2024 application form is April 5. Mock test will be made available on February 15. The edit facility for candidates to make corrections will begin on April 12 to 16.

The COMEDK UGET 2024 exam will be held in more than 400 exam centers. The morning session will begin from 9 am and conclude at noon and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

UGET 2024: Eligibility criteria

Students who fulfil the following eligibility criteria will be eligible to apply for the COMEDK UGET 2024.

  • For BE, BTech admission, students should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC or Class 12 exam recognised by the state and central government.
  • The last two years of study should comprise of physics, chemistry and mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
  • General category candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks and SC, ST, OBC students of Karnataka should have scored 40% in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
  • Physics and mathematics are compulsory subjects along with chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science or electronics as one of the optional subjects.
  • Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the UGET entrance test as there are no lateral entry admissions.
