COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE-E 2020 exam date announced; to be held on August 19

NEW DELHI: Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) and ERA Foundation has released the exam date of COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE-E 2020 respectively. The combined single entrance examination will now be held on August 19, 2020. Previously, the examination was scheduled to be held on August 1, 2020, however it was postponed due to the state lockdown caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The entrance examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 AM to 12 noon and the second shift will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. According to the authorities, the new date has been selected after taking into consideration all of the aspects. These aspects were also discussed in detail with the stakeholders who are involved in conducting the examination.

About COMEDK

COMEDK is conducted to provide undergraduate engineering admissions to qualified students in the various participating colleges. With over 2 lakh applicants each year, the examination is held in around 154 exam cities all over India.

About Uni-GAUGE-E

Uni-GAUGE-E is a computer-based entrance test conducted for admissions into the undergraduate engineering courses at participating institutes of the foundation. The institutes will conduct their own separate counselling for admissions.
