NEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in a notification published on its official website has notified that the CSEET 2021 exam will be conducted on May 6, 2021, as scheduled. However, instead of the centre-based mode, it will now be conducted in a remote-proctored test (RPT) mode. To take the exam in the new format, the candidate will need a laptop/ desktop, a webcam, and an internet connection.

Further, given the exam will now be administered remotely, the viva voce section has been dropped and in its place, a multiple-choice section, Presentation & Communication Skills, has been added. The list of changes made to the exam pattern has been listed in the bullet points below.

What are changes made to ICSI CSEET Exam Pattern 2021?

ICSI has made the following key changes to the exam pattern of ISCI:

Mode of exam: The institute has notified that this session, the CSEET 2021 exam will be conducted in online Remote Proctored Test (RPT) Mode.
Where to take the exam? The candidate will now be able to take the exam from a place of their choice, including their homes.
Exam centers become redundant: With the exam moving to RPT mode, ICSI is unlikely to allot any exam centres.
Basic requirements for taking the remotely administered exam: The student will need a web-cam-enabled computer system, and good internet connectivity.
Viva Voce section has been dropped: Previously, the 15-minute long section was held simultaneously or after the conclusion of the MCQ-based section.
New section added: A "Presentation & Communication Skills" section has been added, which will comprise 20 multiple-choice questions.
Increase in Multiple-choice questions: With the addition of the new section, the CSEET 2021 question paper will have a total of 140 questions (compared to 120 in the old format).
Timings of exam to be mentioned in admit card: The candidate should refer to the CSEET 2021 admit card to learn about exam timings and other exam-day guidelines.

Note that no changes have been made to the exam duration (120 minutes) and total marks (200).
