CSIR NET 2021 exam likely to be deferred till middle of July

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has announced on the micro blogging site twitter that the CSIR NET exam is likely to be deferred to middle of July owing to the prevailing COVID 19 situation.

NEW DELHI: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has informed that the CSIR NET exam is likely to be deferred to the middle of July due to COVID 19 pandemic. The CSIR NET 2021 is conducted twice every year twice by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Due to the widespread coronavirus in 2020, the CSIR NET exam was held only once.

In 2021, the CSIR NET 2021 exam process is yet to begin and owing to the deteriorating situation due to COVID 19 pandemic, CSIR has deferred the exam.

About the CSIR NET 2021 Exam

The NTA CSIR NET exam is held to determine the eligibility of the candidates ‘for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship/Assistant Professor’ in various Indian Universities. Candidates who will appear for the CSIR NET 2021 exam must ensure that they check the eligibility criteria before they proceed to fill the CSIR NET application form.

Only Indian citizens are eligible to appear for the CSIR NET 2021 exam. Post the qualification of the exam, candidates will be issued an eligibility certificate.
