NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has informed in their latest press note that the application dates of CTET (July Session) has been extended to March 2, 2020. Candidates can pay the application fee till March 5, 2020 (3:30 pm). Earlier, the application process was to close on February 24, 2020. The application process will be carried out as usual on the official website - ctet.nic.in. This year the exam is being conducted in 20 languages in 112 cities across the country. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 5, 2020. Successful applicants will be issued admit cards for the same by the middle of June.

How to Fill CTET 2020 Application Form?

Aspirants must follow the procedure provided below to fill the application form -

Step 1: Go to the official website - ctet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the CTET 2020 application form link

Step 3: Register yourself by entering personal details, contact details and setting your password

Step 4: Log in with your registered credentials and fill the details asked in the application form

Step 5: Upload scanned documents - photograph and signature

Step 6: Pay the requisite application fee

Step 7: Submit

CTET is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates as teachers of classes I to VIII twice every year. There are two papers of CTET - Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates who wish to become teachers of classes I to V have to take Paper-I while those who want to teach classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper-II. Candidates can also appear for both papers. Candidates who qualify the exam will be issued CTET certificates using which they can apply as teachers of the aforementioned classes in schools across the country. The validity of these certificates is seven years from the date of issuance.
