NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam city slip for the December 2024 session. Candidates who have registered for the CTET December 2024 exam will be able to check the allotment of exam city through the official website, ctet.nic.in.
The CBSE Board will conduct the CTET exam 2024 for paper 1 and paper 2 in two shifts on December 14. In case there are more registrations from a particular city, the board will hold exams on December 15 as well.
The teacher eligibility exams for will be held in two shifts - shift 1 for candidates intending to be teacher for classes 1 to 5 will be held between 9.30 am to 12 noon and shift 2 for those applied for eligibility of teachers for classes 6 to 8 will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
Candidates will have to key in their application number and password generated during the registration process in the CTET exam city download link 2024. Proceed to enter the security pin as displayed on the screen. The CTET exam city intimation slip will have details of where the exam centre will be allocated.
As per the schedule, the board will issue the CTET admit card two days before the exam. Therefore, applicants are advised to check and download the CTET hall ticket 2024 from the official portal on December 12. CTET admit card 2024 is a mandatory document required to be carried inside the hall ticket to be allowed entry into the venue.

CBSE CTET: Type of questions in paper 1
CTET December 2024 paper 1 will contain questions on child development and pedagogy, mathematics, environmental studies, language 1 and language 2.
- The questions on child development and pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
- The questions in language 1 will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
- The questions in language 2 will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
- The questions in mathematics and environmental studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects.

CTET admit card 2024 exam city out; applicability of exam
The applicability of CTET December 2024:
- CTET exam will apply to schools of the central government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of union territories of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
- CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools.
- Schools owned and managed by the state government or local bodies and aided schools can consider CTET if the government decides not to conduct the state TET.

CTET December 2024: Exam Pattern
CTET December 2024 will comprise two papers -- paper 1 and paper 2. The CTET question paper will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will carry one mark and there will be no negative marking. The duration of CTET 2024 exam will be 2.5 hours. Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 will consist of 150 MCQs and paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8 will also have 150 questions.
