NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conclude Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2024) tomorrow. Eligible candidates can apply for CTET 2024 on the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CBSE will conduct the CTET 2024 on July 7. Candidates clearing the exam - CTET paper 1 and paper 2 - will be eligible for teaching jobs for Classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8, respectively.

Candidates applying for only one paper will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 and those applying for both the papers will have to pay Rs 1,200. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD category will be given 50% relaxation in the application fee. Differently-abled candidates will be given 50 minutes extra in each paper.

CTET 2024 paper 1 and 2 will have 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Paper 1 will have five sections – child development and pedagogy, mathematics, environmental studies, language 1 and language 2. Each section will have 30 questions. Paper 2 will also have five sections – child development and pedagogy, studies, language 1 and language 2, mathematics and science or social sciences (60 questions).

Students clearing the CTET 2024 will be eligible for teaching jobs in schools run by the central government such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, and schools in Chandigarh, Delhi, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Andaman and Nicobar and other UTs.

CTET certificate will be valid for a lifetime. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take. One who has qualified CTET can also appear again to improve the score.
