CUET PG 2024: Read these guidelines before appearing for the exam

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency will begin the Common University Entrance Test PG 2024 today to offer admission to a number of PG programmes to various CUET PG participating universities.

Students must download the CUET PG 2024 admit card at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in and check all the details mentioned in it, especially the exam date, centre address, exam dates and shifts they have been allotted to. Here are some of the important points on the online test of CUET PG:

How to attempt CUET PG computer based test

  • Look for your seat: Search for the computer labelled with your Roll Number. Candidates must sit only at their assigned seat to avoid possible disqualification.

  • Log in : You need to enter your login ID and password on the welcome screen, where you'll see your photo and exam details.

  • Read instructions carefully: Before the exam starts, a screen with detailed instructions will appear. You need to understand the question types, marking scheme, and how to navigate through the exam.

  • Start the exam: Once the exam starts, questions will appear on your screen. You need to use the mouse to navigate and select the answers.

  • Manage your time: Be aware of the timer. The answers will be submitted automatically when the timer runs out.

  • Question palette: You can use this to see which of the questions you have answered, marked for review or left without answering.

  • Change language: Candidates have the option to change the exam language, if they choose to do so.

  • Answering questions: To answer a question, you need to select the option and click on the “Save & Next” option. If you need to change the answer, click on “Clear Response” and reselect your answer.

  • Review and navigate: It is a good idea to click on “Mark for Review” for the questions, if unsure. You can answer them later. You can move between questions, as well as sections freely within the scheduled time.

  • Use virtual keyboard: For certain questions, students need to use the on-screen keyboard and your mouse to answer the questions.

  • Rough work: Use the provided rough sheets for calculations. You must submit these rough papers to the invigilator before you leave the exam hall.

  • In case of system issues: Report immediately to the concerned invigilator for a replacement computer. Your exam time will be adjusted accordingly.

The CUET PG exam is scheduled to be conducted in three shifts; Shift 1 from 9 am to 10:45 am, Shift 2 will be held from 12:45 pm to 02:30 pm and Shift 3 will be conducted from 04:30 pm to 06:15 pm.
