NEW DELHI: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2024) application form for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses in central and other participating universities will be hosted by February 28. Eligible students will be able to register for the CUET UG 2024 exam scheduled between May 15 to 31.

The CUET UG 2024 registration process will begin in another 10 to 11 days, the Times of India reported. Earlier, the application was expected to be out on February 19, however, there is no official confirmation on CUET registration date yet. Nearly 250 universities will offer admission to various first-year degree courses through CUET score.

Applicants should note that qualifying CUET exam will not confirm their admission at the applied university as each institute will have separate selection criteria. The Indian Express reported that the CUET UG exam 2024 will be held in hybrid mode this year to encourage participation of students from rural areas. The OMR-based exam will be held along with the computer-based test (CBT) for the subjects with highest number of registration.

Moreover, the number of subject choices will be reduced from 10 to 6 this year, as per reports. This decision was taken as the maximum number of subjects opted by previous year candidates was 5.

The second-edition of CUET saw participation of around 28 lakh students, making it the second-largest entrance exam in the country after NEET UG. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the information brochure soon on the official website.
