NEW DELHI: Dr C.V. Raman University (CVRU), Bilaspur has announced the admissions for the academic session 2020-21. The admission process for the year has gone 100% online. Due to lockdown, candidates can submit their application form as well as deposit their fees in online mode by visiting the official website of CVRU. The dates for the Pan-India AISECT Joint Entrance Exam (AJEE), which is required for admission to certain courses in the University, will be announced soon.
CVRU, which is a part of the AISECT Group of Universities, offers a range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses under 9 faculties that include Engineering & Technology, Commerce, Management, Arts & Humanities, Science, Computer Science & IT, Agriculture and Yoga. The University is also set to arrange career counselling sessions for prospective students along with online classes on personality development, soft skills and communication, entirely free of cost.
In addition, the admission process for the year has gone 100% online. So, the University has taken various steps to take teaching-learning as well as other operations entirely in online mode. About 30 online lectures are being offered per day by CVRU Bihar and this process began from March 20, 2020. Around 400-500 students and 35 faculty members are a part of the lecture series.
Apart from this, CVRU has arranged a digital library with over 65,000 e-learning resources, online assignments, online quiz, and question papers for the students to further improve access.
For final assessments, CVRU has tied-up with Eduvantage PRO in order to conduct end-term exams for a lot of courses. Virtual placement drives, career development webinars and personality development sessions are also being organised for graduating students.
CVRU has 5 MoUs with international universities for research and education besides collaboration with various national laboratories. Also, the university focuses extensively on fostering a research-based environment and it has established two strong areas for meaningful research - Renewable Energy & Material Science and Chemistry & Earth Science.
