Delhi CET 2019 application form to be available from April 1

NEW DELHI, March 25: The application form for Delhi CET 2019 (Delhi Polytechnic) will be available from April 1. The entrance exam will be conducted by DTE, Government of NCT of Delhi and the application forms will be available in online mode. Delhi CET 2019 will be conducted offline in pen and paper based mode which will include objective type of questions. The conducting body has also released the detailed eligibility criteria for candidates seeking admissions in Delhi Polytechnic.

 

Delhi CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

 

Name of the Course

Eligibility

For Diploma courses

  • Candidate must have passed class 10 with a recognized body with minimum 35% or 3.7 CGPA in Science, Maths and English.

  • Science, Mathematics and English are mandatory subjects and candidate must have passed in all 3 of them.

For Modern Office Practise (English and Hindi)

  • Candidate must have passed class 12  from CBSE or any other recognized body with minimum 35% aggregate score in best 3 subjects including English ( for English) and Hindi or Sanskrit (for Hindi).

For Pharmacy

  • Candidate must have passed class 12 with a recognized institution with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology (Botany and Zoology)

For lateral entry (Delhi region candidates only)

  • Candidate must have passed class 12 with a recognized institution with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology.

OR

  • Passed class 12 Science with Mathematics as a main subject OR passed class 12 Science with Vocational or passed class 12 Science with Technical from a recognized body.

OR

  • Passed Class 10 + 2 years of ITI with appropriate trade from a recognized body.

 

The entrance examination will be conducted for admission in diploma courses and the syllabus will comprise of class 9 and 10 subjects of CBSE. The result will be announced for only those candidates who have successfully qualified for the exam.
