Delhi’s Directorate of Education has asked all schools to conduct online teaching for all classes except Classes 10 and 12.

NEW DELHI: Delhi government has ordered all schools to conduct online classes for all levels except Classes 10, 12 till November 10 in view of air pollution. For Classes 10th, 12th, the heads of schools can decide whether to conduct classes physically or virtually.
“In view of the implementation of stage 4 graded response action plan order issued by CAQM, it is ordered that all classes - except the board classes - X and XII in all schools of Delhi shall be held online upto 10.11.2023,” said that directorate of education in an official notice.
The school teachers will have to come to school and conduct classes online. “As for the board classes i.e. X and XII, the HoS shall have the option either to conduct the same online or call the students to school for physical classes,” the DoE added.

The heads of schools have been asked to inform the parents of students about the arrangements immediately.
Earlier, the Delhi government had ordered school closure for Classes 1 to 5 till November 10 and allowed schools to hold online teaching for the secondary and senior secondary classes.
Initially, all government and private primary schools in Delhi were closed on November 3 and November 4 as the Air Quality Index (AIQ) reached the severe category.
