Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University celebrates fourth foundation day

NEW DELHI: THe Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) celebrated its fourth Foundation Day today. Vice-chancellor of Delhi University Yogesh Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.

Former VC of Tezpur University VK Jain was the guest of honour. Ashok K Nagawat, VC of DSEU and NSUT, presided over the function. NCC cadets of the university presented the guard of honour to the chief guest by the NCC cadets of DSEU. A short documentary on highlighting the journey and achievement of the DSEU was shown to the attendees.

Students from all the departments and centres of DSEU showcased their talent in several cultural performances such as dancing and singing. The energy created an entertaining atmosphere, showcasing the collective talent, enthusiasm, and achievements of the DSEU fraternity.

Nagawat gave an overview of the vision and mission of DSEU. Expressing gratitude, the VC of DSEU extended thanks to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, who is chancellor of the university, and CM Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi education minister Atishi and the Delhi government.

He also expressed gratitude toward Yogesh Singh for assuring cooperation through an agreement between the DSEU and Delhi University. “This collaboration is poised to unlock a plethora of opportunities in the realm of skill-based training and emerging technologies for faculty and students across both universities,” he said.

On the occasion, DSEU's new newsletter ‘Spectrum’ was also released. VK Jain applauded the commendable role of DSEU in empowering women's skill and entrepreneurship-based education.

Yogesh Singh emphasised on the role of skill education in shaping the nation's future and realising the dream of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. His insights as an eminent academician highlighted the crucial role of a teacher in a student's holistic journey.

The foundation day ended with a vote of thanks by the DSEU registrar, Gagan Dhawan.
