NEW DELHI: The Embassy of France in India is inviting applications for scholarships for Indian students. Interested candidates can apply at the official website of Campus France - inde.campusfrance.org. Campus France, a part of the Embassy of France, is a government agency providing service to students who wish to pursue higher studies in France.

A virtual higher education fair is being conducted on March 11. Students, parents and teachers can join online at the occasion of the Choose France Tour to meet with more than 40 top French institutions. Nineteen management and business institutions, 11 engineering schools, five arts and design schools, four culinary and gastronomy schools and two public universities will be there to answer all questions.
Besides, Campus France and French Institute of India are also conducting regional fairs.

Under its flagship Charpak scholarship of excellence programme, the Embassy of France in India is now inviting applications for the following scholarship programmes for the academic year 2022-23.
The first edition of 2022 Charpak Bachelor's scholarship programme is open to Indian students who wish to pursue a full time bachelor’s degree programme in France. The scholarship is awarded for the entire length of the Bachelor’s programme and is applicable for all fields of study. The interested candidates must have applied for admission at a French institution before applying for the scholarship.

The Charpak Exchange scholarship programme is open to Indian students of all profiles studying at the bachelor’s or master's level, leaving for a semester of study in France in the framework of a partnership between their Indian establishment and a French host institution. The scholarship will be offered for one academic semester between September and December 2022.
The applicants must check with their home institution for existing exchange partnerships with French institutions before applying for the scholarship.

As of March 3, 2022, France has put India on the list of “green” countries, which means that fully vaccinated students can enter France with no restrictions. Travelers not fully vaccinated need only a pre-departure negative test. According to the last official post-COVID19 collected data, there were around 6,000 Indian students in France in academic year 2020-2021, said an official statement.
