ETS announces scholarships for 25 Indian students worth Rs 6 million to pursue education in the UK
ETS has partnered with NISAU to launch the UK-India TOEFL scholarship. Every candidate will receive a scholarship worth Rs 2.4 lakh.

NEW DELHI: The Educational Testing Services (ETS) has landed in a partnership with the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) to launch a scholarship programme for Indian students. Under the programme, every selected candidate will receive a scholarship worth Rs 2.4 lakh. As many as 25 Indian students will receive scholarships under the programme. The deadline to apply for the programme is May 31, 2023.
The total value of the scholarships is approximately worth Rs 60 lakhs. A statement from the ETS said that the scholarships are intended at providing financial support for various college expenses. The students receiving the scholarships will be selected by a panel comprising NISAU, UK University representatives and industry bodies.

Eligibility criteria for the scholarship
The students will be required to meet the following eligibility criteria to avail the scholarship.
- The students should have secured a score of 75 out of 120.

They should have an offer letter from the UK university.

The student should be intending to study on a fee-paying undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree course.

He/she must be enrolling for the first time at a UK university.
In addition to this, to apply for the scholarship, the students will also have to submit their TOEFL scorecard and a 500 word long essay on 'Creating a social impact with a UK-based Education'.
NISAU chairperson Sanam Arora said on the launch of the scholarships: "It has been a long-standing dream for the NISAU and for me personally to be able to provide scholarships to Indian students who wish to use British education for creating a positive social impact and give back to society. With ETS's support, we are absolutely delighted to be able to offer $75,000 worth of scholarships to 25 young Indians who will hopefully become the change makers of tomorrow".
