FMGE 2019, NEET MDS and DNB PDCET 2020 to be held today; Check exam details

New Delhi: PG entrance exam for NEET MDS, FMGE and DNB PDCET is conducting today, i.e. December 20, 2019, by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). All three exams will be held in the online mode. Students who are appearing for the exam must report at the centre at the given time with the relevant documents. It is to be noted that candidates without these documents will not be given entry inside the centre.

Documents to be carried at NEET MDS, FMGE & DNB PDCET

The following are the documents which should be mandatorily carried at the centres of NEET MDS 2020, FMGE 2019 (December) and DNB PDCET 2020.

  • Any Photo ID proof- Voter ID/PAN card/Driving License/Aadhaar card (with photo)/Passport

  • Photocopy of permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by MCI/SMC

  • Hall ticket along with passport size photograph affixed on it.

FMGE 2019 December session

Foreign Medical Graduates Examination, commonly known as FMGE is a licensure examination conducted by NBE. The test is one of the compulsory requirements for an Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who has a medical degree from a college outside India to practice medicine in the country. The computer based test is having 200 multiple choice questions and is being conducted in two parts; Part A and B. Both the parts is of 150 minutes. As per the FMGE timings, part A is already over and students are all set for part B, which will begin from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.

About NEET MDS 2020

NEET MDS (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery) is considered as one of the toughest PG exams in India. The exam is conducted for a total of 6228 MDS seats offered in government, private, deemed and central universities all-over India. As mentioned above, this exam will be computer-based containing 240 MCQs, which must be completed in 180 minutes. The timing of the exam is 2 PM to 5 PM. According to the exam pattern, four marks will be allotted for a correct answer, whereas, one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

What is DNB PDCET?

DNB PDCET i.e. Diplomate of National Board Postgraduate Centralised Entrance Test is a ranking examination for admission to 1073 post-diploma DNB seats in 14 specialities at 597 hospitals across India. The test will be computer-based and will contain 200 multiple choice questions from Pre-clinical and Para-Clinical courses taught at MBBS level. As per the exam pattern, there will be eight sections in PDCET with a total of 200 questions. 4 marks will be allotted for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

What after FMGE, NEET MDS & DNB PDCET?

Once the exams are over, the results for FMGE 2019, NEET MDS 2020 & DNB PDCET 2020 are expected to be announced in a month. As per the official brochure of the respective exams, the exact date of the announcement of result is on or before January 15, 2020. The result will be available in the PDF format.

In order to qualify FMGE 2019, candidates are required to score 150 marks out of 300. For NEET MDS, the minimum qualifying cutoff for General candidates is 50th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40th percentile.
