FORE School of Management launches competition for management research grant of Rs 30 lakhs

Doctoral and post-doctoral research scholars will get funding of Rs 30 lakhs for both long and short-duration projects.

NEW DELHI: The FORE School of Management (FSM) will conduct the FORE Research Grant Competition (FRGC) 2023-24. The competition is aimed at encouraging innovative research in the management field. Through FRGC 2023, FSM will support doctoral and post-doctoral research scholars from India by offering grant funding of Rs 30 lakhs for both long and short-duration projects.

Interested applicants are required to register online for FRGC 2023 at fsm.ac.in. There is no registration fee for participating in the competition.

As per the official release, the funding is intended to facilitate research projects that are theoretical, empirical or have policy-related implications. The FORE Research Grant Competition will lead to innovative research, welcoming cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research proposals that span more than one discipline.

The funding will be divided to support two categories of research projects based on their scope, duration, and budget. The short-duration project, spanning up to 12 months, will receive a budget ranging from Rs 2 to Rs 3 lakhs. The long-duration project, extending up to 24 months, will have a budget between Rs 3 to Rs 5 lakhs.

FRGC 2023: Eligibility and selection process

  • Research scholars from management institutes and colleges can apply.
  • Applicants should be from recognized by or affiliated with the AICTE or UGC-recognized universities and deemed universities.
  • Applicants should be registered for a PhD, FPM or post-doctoral programme of the affiliated institution at the time of application. All doctoral or FPM scholars must have completed their coursework to be eligible.
  • Shortlisted scholars will be invited for an online presentation, followed by an online interview with a panel of experts.
  • The grants will be awarded to the selected researchers based on the recommendations of the selection committee.

Applicants are required to submit their research proposals which should comprise the below elements:

  • An abstract with relevant keywords to provide a concise overview of the research.
  • An introduction section to set the context.
  • A comprehensive outline of research gaps and clearly defined objectives.
  • A detailed description of the data and methodology to be employed.
  • An articulation of the expected research contribution to the field of management.
  • A list of project deliverables outlining the expected outcomes.
  • A budget estimate to indicate the financial requirements for executing the proposed research project.
