New Delhi, September 24: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi has extended the last date for the submission of GATE 2020 application to September 26. Due to heavy traffic load on the official website, the server was down and students were unable to fill the application form of GATE, soo the authorities have now extended the last date. Earlier, the deadline to submit online application form of GATE 2020 was September 24, 2019 without late fee. Now, as per the latest notification, the last date is changed. So the candidates can now make the registration of GATE 2020 exam till September 26. The closing date for GATE 2020 registration with late fee of is October 1, 2019.

Steps to fill GATE Application Form 2020
Step-1: GATE 2020 registration - First, the candidates will have to complete the initial registration process by providing the name, mobile number and other necessary details.
Step-2: Login to fill GATE 2020 application form - Here, they have to login to their account by using the valid credentials to fill details like college details, valid photo ID details, exam paper, exam centre etc.
Step-3: Upload photo, signature and other documents - Candidates need to upload a photograph, signature and other certificates in the prescribed format.
Step-4: Payment of GATE application fees - The application fee has to be paid through online mode only includes net banking, debit/credit card.
Step-5: Take a printout of the application form - Check the details filled on the online application form before clicking on the submit button. Take a harp copy of the same for future use.
Candidates can access the GATE application form correction facility tentatively from the first week of October. They can rectify only some information includes Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, PwD status, Exam paper, Exam city, College name & location, Roll Number, Registration number, Parents/ Guardian/ Correspondence address details and Dyslexia and other similar learning disabilities.
