NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is going to commence GCET 2020 from today i.e July 4 at 10 AM. The entrance exam will be conducted in three sessions for two days. On the first day, i.e today, two sessions of exam will be conducted for Physics (10 am to 12 noon) and Chemistry (2 pm to 4 pm), and on the next day i.e July 5, Mathematics paper will be conducted (10 am to 12 noon).

For the safety of the candidates, the authorities will be arranging thermal screening, sanatizations, and social distancing at all the examination centres.

Important Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates should print the admit card sent to them on the registered email id and carry the same at the GCET 2020 exam centre.

  • Along with the admit card, candidates should also carry any one original photo id proof (Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving licence, passport, Higher Secondary School I Card, HSSC exam Hall ticket).

  • Students are required to wear masks, carry sanitizers and follow the social distancing norms.

  • Candidates must report at the test centre at least 40 minutes before the commencement of the exam.

To make it convenient for the candidates who are travelling to GOA by road to appear for GCET 2020, the authorities made arrangements to pick them at the Patradevi and Polem Border on July 4 at 6:30 in the morning by bus and transport them to the exam centre. They will be accommodated at the GEC hostel and then will drop them back on July 5 after the completion of the exam.

About GCET 2020
Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) is a state level entrance test conducted for admission into the engineering courses offered by the participating institutes. The exam is being conducted as pen and paper based (offline) mode.
