GITAM School hosts 2nd international conference on business management

NEW DELHI: GITAM School of Business, Bengaluru, hosted the 2nd international conference on Latest Trends in Business Management: Innovation, Technology, and Sustainability. As per the institute, over 90 research papers were presented by scholars from seven countries, showcasing advancements and ideas across various business disciplines.

The conference aimed to explore how businesses can leverage innovative strategies, technological advancements, and sustainable practices to thrive in today’s dynamic landscape. The scholars from the USA, Singapore, Oman, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and Ethiopia participated in the conference.

During the conference, the outstanding presentations were honoured with the "Best Paper Awards," presented by chief guest Dinesh A U, director of HR and admin at Rittal India Pvt Ltd.

The other recipients of the awards included Manisha Seth, associate professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow; Gauwdami Poyyamoli, a student at Christ (Deemed to be University); Kritika Mathur, assistant professor at Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi, for general management; Liya Teressa Alex, a research scholar at the Central University of Tamil Nadu, for marketing management; and Faisal Usmani, assistant professor at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, for finance and accounting.

Speaking at the conference, the manager of ServiceNow, Parthiban Bhavanisankar, said: “To excel in the current job market, we cannot afford to ignore the role of emerging technologies for ushering innovations.”

While addressing the conference, the vice chancellor of GITAM School, KNS Acharya, spoke about the importance of technology in making informed business decisions and encouraged the participants.
