NEW DELHI, MARCH 18: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education (GBSHSE) has postponed the exam scheduled for March 18 on account of sudden demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, according to the reports. The Goa Board 12th exams which started on February 28 are scheduled to end on March 26. The Board had scheduled to conduct the Banking, Logic, Computer Science, and Co-operation examinations on March 18. However, the revised date for the exam has not been announced yet.

The Centre has announced national mourning on Monday following demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The National Flag will fly at half-mast in New Delhi and capitals of States and Union Territories. The Goa government has declared a one-day holiday on Monday and a seven-day mourning period. The chief minister was suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer and had been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and New Delhi over the past year.The funeral is scheduled to take place at 4:30 pm.

Goa SSC exams 2019 are set to be conducted between April 2 and 23, 2019. The result of the exams will be out in the fourth week of May, 2019. Candidates can check for any official update at https://gbshse.org/
