NEW DELHI, MARCH 30: Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has demonstrated exceptional growth in PGDM and PGDM in Healthcare Management placement for the 2017-19 graduating batches. While the PGDM and PGDM (HCM) programmes have registered 100% placement, the entire batch of students attending the PGDM Big Data Analytics (BDA) programme have been placed for internship.
GIM’s flagship two-year full-time PGDM programme has once again achieved 100% placement for the entire batch, consisting of 240 students. With highest domestic salary of INR 24.4 LPA (11% increase over previous year) and average domestic salary of INR 11.4 LPA (8% increase over previous year), the average numbers are impressive: INR 18.8 LPA (top 20 students), INR 15.6 LPA (top 50 students), and INR 13 LPA (top 100 students). In addition, 58% students have received offers above INR 10 LPA.
This season saw participation from frequent as well as first-time recruiters like ITC Ltd., Accenture, Deloitte, Reckitt Benckiser, IBM, HSBC, Barclays, Grant Thornton, HP, and Ernst & Young. 131 companies visited the campus. In addition, there was a 26% rise in PPOs/PPIs.
Students have been offered roles and responsibilities in diverse areas: from Research, Analytics, Finance, Consulting, Digital Operations, HR, Quality, and E-commerce to Pharma, Healthcare, and Media.
This year also witnessed international recruiters visiting the campus for student placement. Companies like Diageo and Enhance Group (Oman) have shown their preference for GIM graduates.
GIM’s PGDM (HCM) programme, continued the tradition of 100% placement since its inception for its 60 student 2017-19 batch.
With INR 23 LPA (highest salary) and INR 9.4 LPA (average salary), graduates are ready to join the industry, spanning various Healthcare verticals including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Healthcare, IT, Finance & Public Health.
This season saw participation from a large number of companies including Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Novo Nordisk, Boston Scientific, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and Genpact.
National Health Systems Resource Centre (Technical Support Institute with National Health Mission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India) visited the campus for the first time and selected 2 students for a one-year fellowship.
PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA)
Launched in 2018, the SAS-powered PGDM (BDA) is the first full-time residential programme in management in India devoted to the new paradigm of Big Data Analytics. One of the first courses in the country to combine management with technology and analytics, the programme focuses on creating data literate managers for tomorrow's needs. In its very first year, the programme has been ranked one of the top 10 Analytics programmes in the country by Analytics India. The entire batch, consisting of 59 students, has been placed for internship.
This season saw participation from UB, Royal Bank of Scotland, Kabbage Inc, Honeywell, HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Volvo, Landmark, and Britannia.
Given the strong response from recruiters, this year GIM has again scripted a successful ending to its PGDM, PGDM (HCM), and PGDM (BDA) placement initiatives. With year-on-year growth in placement, GIM continues to improve on its best.
