GPAT 2024 correction window closes today; NBEMS amends eligibility, syllabus

NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will close the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2024) correction window today. The NBE board has also tweaked qualifying exam criteria and details of syllabus prescribed in the information bulletin. Registered candidates will be able to make edits in the submitted GPAT application form through natboard.edu.in.

The GPAT exam 2024 for candidates seeking admission into MPharm programmes will be conducted on June 8. Candidates who have successfully completed the payment, will be allowed to make corrections in any information and upload correct documents. However, they will not be allowed to edit name, nationality, e-mail, mobile number and test city.

The GPAT final and selective edit window to rectify deficient or incorrect images will be available from May 28 to 30. The pre-final and selective edit will begin from May 21 to 23. As per the schedule, the GPAT admit card 2024 will be issued on June 3.

The first GPAT was conducted in the year 2010 and thereafter it was conducted every year till 2018 by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). From 2019 to 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administered the test. Recently, the Pharmacy Council of India has entered into an agreement with the NBEMS for conducting the GPAT.

GPAT 2024 latest updates

The NBEMS has amended the following details in the information bulletin.

Clause 2.14 - Candidates should ensure before applying for the examination that their BPharma degree is recognized as per provisions of the Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. If it is found at any time that BPharm degree is not recognized, the candidature and result of the candidate shall be cancelled/ deemed to be cancelled. Clause 5.2 - The syllabus for the GPAT shall comprise of subject/knowledge areas as per “The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) Course Regulations, 2024”.	The syllabus for the GPAT shall comprise of subject/knowledge areas as per “The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) Course Regulations, 2014”.
