10 third year students get into an accident after their speeding vehicle collided with a pick-up van. 7 out of 10 students were killed while 3 were rushed to the hospital.

GUWAHATI: Seven students of Assam Engineering College were killed and six others injured in a road accident in Guwahati on Monday, police said.
Ten third-year students left the college premises in a car early this morning, and their speeding vehicle hit a road divider and then collided with a pick-up van in Jalukbari area of the city, an officer said. "Seven students died on the spot, while three others were admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in critical condition," he said.

As per reports, the students were driving a Scorpio car when it hit a Bolero pick up van head on. Police reached the spot after getting the information about the accident and tried to retrieve the bodies of all by cutting the mangled remains of the vehicle.
Higher Education deptt has ordered the Director of Technical Education and the Principal of AEC to submit a report on the circumstances in which 7 students lost their lives in a tragic accident. The deptt is working on rules to be enforced in Institution campuses.@himantabiswa

All the deceased are said to be 3rd semester students of Assam Engineering College in Jalukbari, Guwahati. Three occupants of the pick-up van, including the driver, were also critically injured and admitted to the hospital, the officer added.
Additionally, 3 others received grievous injuries in the accident who were rushed to the Apollo hospital for immediate treatment.
