Haryana schools and colleges are shut till January 26, 2022. The state government has asked educational institutions to continue with online classes.

NEW DELHI: The Haryana education minister Kanwar Pal on Monday said no decision has been taken on reopening schools, colleges in Haryana. He, however, said that the state government is planning to reopen schools with 33% capacity on different days.
“We were planning to open schools with 33% capacity on different days, but no decision yet. As the COVID cases decline, we can think over it,” Kanwar Pal said, as per ANI.

The Haryana government had earlier announced to shut schools in Haryana owing to the rise in Covid-19, Omicron cases in India. All schools and colleges are closed till January 26, 2022. The state education minister also directed schools, colleges to return to online classes for students.

On January 14, the Haryana health minister Anil Vij said children in the age group of 15-18 years who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 will not be allowed to enter schools when they reopen.
In other news, the state government has decided to hold mandatory board exam for Classes 5 and 8 in all schools in the state from this academic year.
