Haryana SSC GD Constable registration deadline today; apply for 6,000 posts

NEW DELHI: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the registration window for the recruitment of Haryana Police General Duty (GD) Constable posts today, March 21. Eligible candidates can fill out the HSSC GD Constable application form by visiting the official website, hssc.gov.in.

According to the official announcement, candidates are not required to pay any application fee to register for the HSSC GD Constable exam 2024. The HSSC recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 6,000 vacancies. Out of this, A total of 5,000 posts will be filled by male candidates and 1,000 posts will be reserved for female candidates.

To register for the HSSC GD Constable exam, candidates age should be between 18 years old to 25 years old as of February 1, 2024. However, upper age limit relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Candidates should have completed their Class 12 from a recognized board. Furthermore, they should have passed the matriculation examination with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

HSSC GD Recruitment 2024: Exam pattern

The HSSC GD Constable exam will have four sections including general intelligence reasoning; general knowledge, general awareness; elementary mathematics; and English or Hindi, depending on the candidate's preference. Candidates will be awarded two marks for every correct answer and 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. The total duration for the examination is one hour. Section-wise questions and mark distribution are given in the table below.

The final selection of the candidates will be based on scores in four stages including a written exam, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Standard Test (PST), and a knowledge test. The knowledge test, consisting of multiple-choice questions, carries 94.5% weightage in the overall selection process.
