HSSC CET for Group D answer key soon at hssc.gov.in; marking scheme, selection criteria

NEW DELHI: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will soon release the answer key of Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group D posts on the official website, hssc.gov.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the HSSC CET group D exam at 798 centres of 17 districts on October 21, 2023.

The HSSC CET Group D in two parts. The first part had six relating to general awareness, reasoning, mathematics, science, English, Hindi. The part 2 comprises questions regarding history, current affairs, literature, geography, civics, environment and culture of haryana.

HSSC CET marking scheme

The CET for Group D is worth 95 marks of which part 1 carries 75 % weightage while part 2 is worth 25 %. Marks allotted for socio-economic criteria and experience are 10 marks.

Students will get 0.95 marks for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking.

Candidates will have to secure 50% marks in CET for Group D to qualify the exam. However, 10% relaxation will be given to students of reserved categories.

For calculation of CET score of candidate, the marks obtained in the CET shall be added to the score, if any, on account of socio-economic criteria weightage to arrive at the CET score for the applicant.

Tie-breaker process

If there are more than one candidate with equal aggregate marks (written examination/skill test marks and socio-economic criteria marks), the applicants who is older will get precedence over the younger one.

If the date of birth is also same then the merit will be determined on the basis of higher score achieved in the written examination/skill test.
