IBPS PO 2019 Prelims Exam Starts Tomorrow, Know the dos and donts

NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 11: Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) will conduct the Probationary Officer (PO) preliminary exam tomorrow. The IBPS PO 2019 prelims exam will be conducted on October 12, 13, 19 and 20. The preliminary exam will have 100 questions of 1 marks each with a time duration of 60 minutes. The questions will be based on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. IBPS is conducting the exam to recruit 4336 vacancies, out of which 2031 are of General category, 904 for OBC, 432 for EWS, 670 for SC and 299 vacancies are for candidates belonging to ST category. The result of the preliminary exam will be declared around mid-week of November 2019.

Here are the important Dos and the Don’ts you should keep in mind before appearing for the exam:

  • Reach the exam centre at least 1 hour before the time mentioned in the admit card.

  • Carry admit card along with your valid photo ID (Aadhar card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License etc). Entry into the exam centre without admit card will not be permitted under any circumstances.

  • Things prohibited in the exam centre - As the exam is in online mode, any stationery item like textual material, bits of papers, geometry/pencil Box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, electronic pen/scanner is not allowed.

  • Devices like mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, fitness band etc is not allowed.

  • Goggles, handbags, belt, cap, wristwatch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle, that can be used for hiding devices like camera, Bluetooth devices etc are not allowed as well.

  • Candidates are also advised not to wear any jewellery item, in case they have to wear one, they must get it checked by the invigilators first.

  • Candidates should carry their own ball pen, erasers and pencils. The authorities at the centre will not provide any.

Candidates qualifying the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear in the mains. The mains exam is expected to be held on November 30. Application form for the IBPS PO was available from August 7 to 28. IBPS conducts the PO exam every year to recruit PO/MT (Management Trainees) in Government Banks.
