NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 17: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared IBPS PO result for the mains examination on December 17. Candidates, who have appeared for the examination on November 18 can now check their result at https://www.ibps.in/ by entering their roll/registration number and password/date of birth in the result login window. The result of IBPS PO mains exam carries name of the candidate, roll number, registration number, date of mains examination, category of the candidate, marks secured by candidates, sectional cutoff marks category-wise. Candidates will also be able to download their scorecard, however, that will be available a few days after the result announcement.
Now, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in the interview, which will be held in January/February 2019.
The examination authority applies the normalization procedure to prepare the result of IBPS PO mains to adjust the difficulty level of the exam, as it’s conducted in multiple slots. The marks secured by candidates in the mains examination will be considered for preparing the merit list. However, the marks of the mains and the interview (both) will be taken into account while preparing the final merit list, as per candidate’s preferences for the bank.
Earlier, the result of IBPS PO Prelims examination was declared on October 31. Candidates were able to check their prelims result till November 7. However, the scorecard the of the prelims exam was released on November 12, while the last date to download the scorecard till November 18.
Candidates, who will be able to crack the interview, will be recruited as Probationary Officers/Management Trainees across the participating banks. This year, the exam authority has declared a total of 4252 vacancies for the appointment of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees.
