Candidates who qualify the CA Intermediate examination become eligible to progress to the next phase of the Chartered Accountancy programme, which includes undergoing practical training and subsequently appearing for the CA Final examination.

The ICAI conducted the CA Intermediate May 2026 examinations in two phases. The Group 1 papers were held on May 5, 7 and 9, while the Group 2 examinations were conducted on May 11, 13 and 15, giving candidates the option to appear for either one group or both groups.
