ICAR AIEEA 2020 exam schedule released; application window to open from March 1

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 22 : National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the examination dates of Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission 2020 on its official website. The examination authority has also released the schedule of other ICAR AIEEA 2020 admission process events. Candidate who are willing to enroll themselves in the UG and PG programmes of the affiliated universities of the council can fill the application form of ICAR AIEEA 2020 from March 1. The last date of submission of application form will be March 31. The admit card of ICAR AIEEA will be released in online mode on April 25. ICAR AIEEA 2020 will be conducted on June 1 and the entrance exam result will be declared on June 15.
Following the footsteps of Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University, ICAR in the year 2019 handed over the responsibility of conducting entrance examination for admission in UG, PG and Doctoral programmes to NTA. Along with the commencement of exam, the testing agency is also responsible for awarding scholarships and fellowships.
The university has decided to conduct the entrance examination one month ahead this year. The entrance examination for the academic session 2019-20 was conducted on July 1 and the result was declared on July 17.
What is ICAR?
Indian Council of Agricultural Research, also commonly known as ICAR is the supreme council body responsible for managing research and promoting education in the field of Agriculture. It is an autonomous body which comes under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The ICAR- AU system has around 75 Agricultural universities which includes 64 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticultural and Fisheries universities, 4 ICAR Deemed universities, 3 Central Agricultural universities and 4 Central universities having Faculty of Agriculture.
About ICAR AIEEA
The 150 minutes entrance examination will be conducted in computer based mode. The entrance test is conducted in around 87 exam centres comprising of all the major cities around the country. The medium of the entrance examination will be both Hindi and English. Every correct answer will be awarded with four marks, whereas every incorrect response will result in deduction of one mark. After the declaration of results, the research council finally allots the seats to the candidates with the help of an online counselling. A maximum of three rounds of seat allotments are done to fill the seats in the affiliated universities of ICAR.
