ICAR AIEEA PG 2024 exam tomorrow; things to carry, admission guidelines

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the All India Entrance Examination for Admission Postgraduate (AIEEA-PG 2024) and All India Competitive Examinations (AICE) JRF, SRF (PhD) in computer-based test (CBT) mode tomorrow. Candidates will have to carry the AIEEA PG admit card 2024 downloaded from the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/ICAR/, to the exam centre.

The NTA will be holding the ICAR AIEEA PG exam 2024 in the morning shift and the AICE PhD exam in the afternoon shift. The exam will be conducted at 89 cities across the country for admission in masters programmes in agricultural universities in different disciplines of agriculture, horticulture, forestry, veterinary, animal sciences, agricultural engineering, community science (erstwhile home science), fisheries, dairy science and other allied sciences.

The CBT exam will be held for a duration of 2 hours and will carry 120 questions. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and no marks will be awarded for unattempted questions. There will be a 25% negative marking for every wrong response.

AIEEA PG 2024: Documents required

Candidates will have to carry the following documents to the exam centres.

  • Printed copy of AIEEA PG admit card downloaded from the NTA website.
  • One passport-size photograph, same as uploaded on the online application form for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at the centre during the examination.
  • Any one of the valid government-approved photo IDs such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card with photograph, Aadhaar enrolment number, ration card.
  • PwBD certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.

Through the entrance exam, 30% of the seats in agricultural universities will be filled. All seats of the four ICAR-DUs namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) and CAUs are also filled up through AIEEA PG scores. Further, not more than 40% candidates from any one state will be admitted in any agricultural university in a particular subject and category, it clarified.
