ICFAI University Jaipur awards 47 students during 4th convocation ceremony

NEW DELHI: The ICFAI University Jaipur awarded its meritorious students during its fourth convocation ceremony on Jamdoli campus. Nineteen students from ICFAI Tech, 14 students each from IBS and the law programme were awarded their gold and silver medals. The convocation was attended by faculty members, students, parents and 30 persons from industry and higher education.

Degrees and diplomas were awarded to 552 students who passed PhD, MBA, MCA BBA, BCom (Hons), BTech, BCA, BSc (Hons), BA-LLB (Hons), BBA-LLB (Hons) and LLB programmes. ICFAI University chairperson RP Kaushik congratulated the students for their achievements.

Former ISRO chairman AS Kiran Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion. He congratulated the graduating students and highlighted how science and technology has revolutionised the world. He appreciated the ICFAI Group for promoting and providing quality education in remote areas, especially the northeast India.

Kumar said “India has demonstrated its capabilities to carry out significant extra-terrestrial activities of exploring and soft landing on Moon using innovative and cost effective approaches. Its efforts have drawn international attention and appreciation. It is planning to further carry out human space flight activities and build space stations and land humans on the moon.”

Space economy, which is expected to grow to a trillion dollars in the coming years, is beckoning India to build on its current space technology capability to become a significant player and benefit in the process, he added.

“The world we live in is continuously changing and it is seen that the pace of change, life cycles of products and their impact durations are progressively shrinking resulting in a demand for changed approach,” Kumar said.
