The ICSE Class 10 board exams for 2026 are scheduled between February 17 and March 30. Students will be provided with an additional 15 minutes to read the question paper before the exam starts.

For the chemistry examination, the question paper will be distributed at 10:45 am, while candidates are required to take their seats in the examination hall by 10:30 am.

ICSE Class 10 Chemistry Question Paper 2026 Analysis

To successfully pass the ICSE Class 10 board exams, students are required to qualify in a minimum of five subjects, including English. The Chemistry paper carries a total of 100 marks, with 80 marks allotted to the written examination and 20 marks assigned to internal assessment.

ICSE Class 10 Chemistry 2026: Exam guidelines

Students appearing for the ICSE Class 10 Chemistry board exam are advised to carefully follow the below instructions issued by the CISCE;

  • Admit card requirement: Students must carry a printed copy of their admit card for every exam session. Digital copies will not be accepted for entry into the exam hall.

  • Uniform and writing materials: Candidates are required to wear their complete school uniform and write the exam using blue or black ballpoint pens, while pencils should only be used for diagrams.

  • Reporting time: Students should reach the exam centre 30–45 minutes before the exam begins. Candidates arriving more than 30 minutes late may not be allowed to appear for the exam.

  • Use of reading time: The 15-minute reading period before the exam starts should be used to carefully go through the question paper and plan answers. Writing during this time is not permitted.

  • Prohibited items: Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly banned inside the examination hall, and carrying them may result in disqualification.
