NEW DELHI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has conducted the English Language - English Paper I of Semester 2 Class 10 today on April 25, 2022. The ICSE 10th English paper commenced at 11 am. The exam duration is 1.5 hours. The next paper of the ICSE term 2 exams will be held tomorrow for Literature in English.

Exam day and date - Monday, April 25, 2022
Question paper distribution time - 10:50 am
Exam start time - 11:00 am
Exam conclude time - 12:30 pm
Students must reach the exam hall by 10: 30 am.
The question paper is disturbed by 10: 50 am and 10 minutes are given to read the question paper.
The exam duration is 1.5 hours. Use the time wisely to attempt the questions.
Students are allowed to use only blue or black ink pens only.
Students have to write UID (Unique Identification Number), index number and subject on the top sheet of the standard answer booklet.
CISCE board is conducting the Class 10 board exams for semester 2 in offline mode. The ICSE 10th semester 2 exams are being held from April 25, 2022 and will conclude on May 23, 2022. The ICSE 10th result 2022 will be announced in July 2022.

”The question paper for English Language, Paper 1, was well received by teachers and candidates alike. The composition topics in Q 1 were all very straightforward and simple. The questions on letter writing and notification were also simple and uncomplicated”, said Ms. Keya Sinha, Principal, National Gems Higher Secondary School.
Saroj Raman, Principal, The Academy School, Pune said that the students were really excited to appear for exams offline rather than feeding answers online. While some faced challenges due to a long gap of more than two years, most found the English paper moderate. The students were all well-prepared for their first offline examination.
The paper wasn’t too lengthy and the specimen papers that the students wrote helped them match up with the ticking time. While taking the feedback from students, there were mixed reactions to exams. One thing stood out—the happiness of being able to write exams offline, which is great because assessments should be done offline instead of online.
Students who appeared for the board exam today have termed the English paper moderate. Meanwhile, some students have observed that the topic of notice was tough.
The CISCE Board will conduct Literature in English tomorrow, April 26, 2022. Students must follow social distancing during the exams. They should carry their masks and sanitizers to the exam hall to avoid any inconvenience.

(iii) Describe an area in your city or hometown which is famous for its street food. Give
details of the familiar sights and sounds you would experience on this street.
(iv) It is very important for young people to spend time quietly or alone for a short while
every day. If you were given an hour to spend on your own, how will you spend it?
