ICSI postpones CS June 2020 exams due to COVID-19

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has postponed its CS June 2020 examinations considering the prevalent situation and subsequent series of lockdown due to COVID-19. The institute has postponed all 3 CS examinations - CS Foundation, CS Executive and CS Professional. From the past few days students were left confused with the rising uncertainty over CS June 2020 session, ICSI has finally addressed the issue and decided to postpone the exam to a later date ending all speculations and uncertainties.

When will CS June 2020 Exams be conducted?

ICSI has not released the revised schedule of CS June 2020 session, however, the authorities have specified that the exams will now start from July 6, 2020. Earlier the examinations were scheduled to be held from June 1 to 11, 2020.

Earlier, ICSI had reopened the exam form window for the June 2020 session from April 21 to 23, 2020. Meanwhile, ICSI has also extended the last date to register for CSEET 2020 till May 5, 2020.

CSEET is an entry level exam for Company Secretary course, recently introduced by ICSI. The exam will take over CS Foundation as the entry level exam into CS course. The first ever edition of CSEET is scheduled to be held on May 28, 2020 and ICSI has not announced anything relating to the postponement of CSEET. It is expected that the institute will also postpone CSEE now that it has already postponed CS June 2020 session.
