IGNOU BEd admission 2026 will be through a two-hour offline MCQ entrance exam, with selection based on scores and a region-wise merit list.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the registrations for the Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme. Candidates can register for the IGNOU BEd course through the official website at ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in.
The IGNOU 2026 registration for admission to BEd programmes will be active until February 27. To apply for the IGNOU BEd course, candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs 1000.
Candidates can pay the registration fee using a credit or debit card issued by any bank in India, or through online banking.

The IGNOU BEd 2026 admission will be conducted through an offline entrance examination consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) lasting two hours. Selection will be based on the exam scores, and a merit list will be prepared region-wise.
Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Science, Social Science, Commerce, or Humanities with a minimum of 50% marks or 55% marks in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification, are eligible to apply forthe IGNOU BEd programme.
For SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), and PWD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks will be provided. There is no age limit to apply for the IGNOU BEd admission 2026.
