IIFT concludes summer placements for MBA 2023-25 batch, highest stipend Rs 4.50 lakhs

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) concluded summer placements for its flagship Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. The Sales and Marketing domain secured the highest number of offers, comprising 35% of the total. Companies such as Accenture, Amazon, Capgemini, Deloitte, Wipro collectively offer 10% of the total placements.
As per the institute, over 100 recruiters from diverse sectors participated in the placements. The average stipend offered was Rs 2.67 lakhs and the median stipend was Rs 2.50 lakhs for a two-month internship. The highest stipend reached Rs 4.50 lakhs, with more than 50 offers exceeding Rs 4 lakhs.
According to the official press release, finance roles make up 21% of the offers. Students secured positions in areas like corporate treasury, investment banking, risk management, equity. Recruiters included Aditya Birla Capital, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and HDFC Bank.
The general management domain witnessed a share with 14% offers, from companies like Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti Suzuki, Phone Pe, Reliance, and Trident Group among others.

Trade and operations witnessed an 11% share, with recruiters like Amazon, Apollo Tyres, Maersk, and Shell offering positions. IT and product management attracted 9% of the offers, with participation from companies like Amazon, Bloomberg, Capgemini, Cipla, Microsoft, TCS, and Wipro, the institute said.
Director of the Institute, Satinder Bhatia, noted that the summer internship selections this year bear testimony to the continued trust of the corporate sector in the talent pool that IIFT offers to them and that it is also an endorsement of the quality of the education and training imparted at the Institute.
