IIM Bangalore UG Admissions 2026: Online applications from August 17 for BSc (Hons) in economics, data science

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has announced the schedule for admission to its undergraduate (UG) programmes for the academic session 2026-27. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the various UG courses at IIM Bangalore through the official website at ug.iimb.ac.in.

The IIM Bangalore UG application window will be opened from August 17 and candidates will be able to access the online applications until October 15 up to 5 pm.

The management institute will conduct the UG admission test to admit students for its 4-year BSc (Hons) in economics with minors in data science and business studies, and BSc (Hons) in data science with minors in economics and business students programmes on November 15.

IIM Bangalore's BSc Admissions 2026: Eligibility, selection process

Those who will pass the IIM Bangalore UG admission test will have to appear for the personal interview between 2nd to 3rd week of January 2027.

The institute will announce the selection and waitlist for UG admissions around the 3rd week of February, 2027, as per the official notice. There are a total of only 80 BSc (Hons) seats with 40 allocated to each major, the notice read.

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who have successfully completed Class 12 or equivalent degree from a recognised board with mathematics as a subject for both majors are eligible to apply for UG admissions at IIM Bangalore.

Students should also have secured a minimum of 60% marks in mathematics in Class 10, it added.

Candidates will be selected after qualifying in the two stages of the selection process. The institute will use the entrance test scores as primary criteria for the interview short-listing process.

The final selection of students will be based on a composite score comprising 60% of the entrance test and 40% of the personal interview.
