NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad will accept CAT registrations till September 15. CAT 2021 registration ongoing on the official website of IIM CAT- iimcat.ac.in. While filling the CAT application form, candidates will have to pay a CAT exam fee of Rs 2200/- for General category and Rs 1100/- for reserved category. At the time of CAT exam registration, candidates must keep a few points in mind to avoid making mistakes. There are certain details in the CAT application form which can not be edited at the time of CAT correction window.

IIM Ahmedabad will conduct CAT 2021 on November 28 in computer-based (online) mode. Before registering for CAT 2021, candidates must ensure that they meet the CAT eligibility criteria. Mistakes to avoid while filling CAT exam form 2021

Here are some of the mistakes candidates usually make while filling CAT exam application form

  • Not having the required documents- The candidates must keep all the required documents ready while applying for CAT 2021. Otherwise, the chances of committing mistakes increases. It is advised to the candidates to ensure that the documents needed are available with them before filling the CAT registration form.   • Personal details

  • Academic details

  • Scanned copy of passport size photograph

  • Scanned copy of the signature

  • Valid mobile number and e-mail address

  • Work experience certificate (if any)

  • Caste certificate

  • Rushing through the CAT application process- Filling the CAT application form is the entry point for appearing in the CAT entrance test. Therefore, filing it in a hurry may lead to carelessness and once may miss the important part of the CAT application process. As the CAT application window is available for a quite long duration, it is very recommended to the applicants to take time and fill the application form carefully.

  • Entering educational qualification details incorrectly- Candidates will be asked to enter their past academic details in the application form of CAT 2021. Details like school/ college name, board/ university name, marks percentage, etc. Make sure candidates enter their marks exactly given in their certificate.

  • Uploading unclear photograph and signature- Uploading relevant documents such as photograph and signature is also a vital step. Candidates must ensure that the image should be visible and within the appropriate dimension.

Steps to fill the CAT 2021 application form

Eligible applicants can apply online for CAT 2021. Here, we provide the steps for filling the CAT application form 2021 online.

Step 1: Go to the official CAT 2021 website - iimcat.ac.in

Step 2: Then find and click the link called “New Candidate Registration” on the right middle of the page

Step 3: Next, enter the required non-editable details to create the login credentials such as Name, Email ID, Phone number

Step 4: After entering the details, click on the “Generate OTP” tab. The OTP will be sent to the registered email ID

Step 5: Then, log in to the candidate's dashboard using the CAT login credentials and fill the CAT application form 2021 with essential details like:

  • Academic/ qualification details

  • Other professional degree details

  • Personal details

  • Communication details

  • Emergency contact details

Step 6: Next, upload all the required documents/ images in a prescribed format and size
